Cherry Bekaert is seeking a Senior Associate, Government Contractor Advisory to join our growing practice. If you have experience in government contracting, accounting, compliance, auditing, or advisory services and want to accelerate your career, this opportunity is for you. In this fully remote U.S. based role, you'll work closely with Managers and senior leadership to help clients address FAR, DFARS, CAS, and other federal compliance requirements while building trusted advisor relationships that make a lasting impact. This position offers a clear path for professional growth within a highly respected GovCon practice - join the team where collaboration drives results.

As a Senior Associate, you will:

  • Collaborate with engagement leadership to assist clients with compliance and gap assessments involving FAR, DFARS, CAS, Uniform Guidance, and related federal requirements

  • Support interactions with DCAA and DCMA regarding audits, contract matters, and compliance-related activities

  • Provide contract and grant management support throughout the contract lifecycle

  • Analyze solicitation clauses, contract terms, and award requirements to help clients identify risks and obligations

  • Assist with subcontractor evaluations, contract modifications, and contract closeout activities

  • Support contract pricing, estimating efforts, and cost and price analyses

  • Participate in walkthroughs and help develop client policies, procedures, templates, and internal controls

  • Support and lead consulting and audit engagements designed to help clients strengthen risk management and internal control environments

  • Deliver client training and contribute to the development of practical tools, checklists, and best practices that drive long-term success

What you bring to the role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CPA designation or candidate status is desired

  • Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience with compliance functions, auditing, or advisory services related to FAR, DFARS, CAS, Uniform Guidance, or other federal regulations preferably coming from a professional services/consulting firm, DCAA, DCMA or directly within a government contractor

  • Experience conducting gap assessments, mock audits, readiness reviews, and developing policies, procedures, and internal controls

  • Experience preparing or reviewing incurred cost submissions, indirect rate structures, and forward pricing or provisional billing rates

  • Familiarity with FAR Part 31 cost principles, cost allowability and allocability, and CAS Disclosure Statements

  • Experience supporting pricing, cost and price analysis, REAs, claims, or terminations

  • Knowledge of government systems such as WAWF and IPP is a plus

  • Ability to travel for client work as needed, not expected to exceed 15%

The salary range for this position is included below. Individual salaries within this range are determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education, knowledge, skills, and geographic location. Pay Range:

$84,100 - $123,500 per year
