Quality Process Engineer
Department: Quality

Location: Charlestown, NH
Description
The Quality Process Engineer is responsible for improving the quality, reliability, and usability of business and quality data across the organization. This role will help organize, clean up, analyze, and report data so it can be trusted for decision-making, process improvement, training, and compliance. The position will support both operational quality activities and customer returns reporting while helping build a more robust quality system.
Key Responsibilities
  • Improve the quality, completeness, consistency, and reliability of data used to make quality and operational decisions.
  • Analyze existing data sources, including nonconforming product, scrap, rework, turnbacks, customer returns, and related quality records, to identify trends, gaps, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve metrics, dashboards, and reports that support Quality Assurance, Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, and leadership decision-making.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to define data requirements, standardize data entry expectations, and improve the usability of quality reporting systems.
  • Support the cleanup, organization, and governance of quality data to ensure information is accurate, accessible, and actionable.
  • Assist in documenting quality-related processes, especially nonconforming product reporting and customer returns reporting, to improve consistency and repeatability.
  • Support training efforts by helping define system use expectations, data entry standards, and reporting best practices.
  • Work with Quality Assurance and process owners to identify process adherence issues and recommend improvements based on data trends and audit results.
  • Provide reporting and analysis that supports internal audits, compliance activities, corrective action tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Help strengthen the overall quality system by improving visibility into process performance, compliance, and data integrity.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality, data analytics, manufacturing, business systems, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Experience working with quality systems, manufacturing operations, process improvement, data analysis, or reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate data, identify trends, and translate findings into clear recommendations.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, reporting tools, or business intelligence tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and process consistency.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Quality Assurance, Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Analytics/Data, and leadership teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain data and process expectations clearly to different audiences.
  • Ability to organize complex information, manage priorities, and follow through on improvement actions.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with nonconforming product reporting, scrap, rework, turnbacks, customer returns, or corrective action processes.
  • Experience developing dashboards, performance metrics, audit reports, or quality management reports.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems, process auditing, data governance, Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methods.
  • Experience supporting training, standard work, or process documentation initiatives.
