Job description

LaSalle Network is partnering with an industry organization to hire a Project Manager to support a large-scale capital project program within a heavy industrial environment. This Project Manager will be responsible for leading multiple capital projects from initial planning through execution and closeout, ensuring safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery while maintaining strong project governance, reporting, and stakeholder coordination within a structured project management framework.

  • Lead multiple capital projects through the full lifecycle from planning and design through construction and closeout
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and critical path activities
  • Monitor project progress and proactively manage risks, changes, and schedule impacts
  • Ensure projects are delivered within approved scope, budget, quality, and safety requirements
  • Coordinate contractors and vendors, including scope development, coordination, and performance oversight
  • Support procurement activities, including bid evaluations and contractor selection processes
  • Maintain project documentation including schedules, logs, and governance records
  • Prepare regular project updates, dashboards, and performance reports for stakeholders
  • Support cost tracking, forecasting, and capital expenditure reconciliation
  • Work within enterprise project systems for cost tracking, documentation, and reporting
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, maintenance, procurement, and finance teams to ensure alignment
  • Support early-stage project planning and continuous improvement of project execution processes

What's needed?
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of project management experience in large-scale industrial or manufacturing environments
  • Experience managing capital projects ($5M+ preferred)
  • Strong experience with contractor and vendor coordination
  • Proficiency with project scheduling tools such as MS Project or Smartsheet
  • Experience with project cost tracking and enterprise systems (e.g., SAP or similar platforms)
  • Strong understanding of project controls, scheduling, and budget management
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • PMP certification is preferred but not required
  • Experience in heavy industrial environments such as metals, minerals, or process manufacturing is a plus
  • Familiarity with structured project governance or stage-gate processes is a plus
