Snelling is currently recruiting for an experience Construction Project Manager with a strong background in managing construction projects of varying sizes and complexities. This role has a heavy emphasis on estimating, quoting, contract review, preconstruction planning, and active coordination with field teams.
Location: Trafford, AL
- Travel up to 20% for site walks, readiness inspections, installation oversight, commissioning, and work events
Salary range: $70,000 – $100,000, based on experience,
Primary Responsibilities of Construction Project Manager:
- Lead construction projects from planning through commissioning and closeout
- Estimate projects, perform material takeoffs (MTOs), and prepare customer quotes
- Conduct and lead preconstruction meetings with internal teams and clients
- Review customer contracts, scopes of work, and project requirements
- Run regular stakeholder meetings once a project is under contract
- Coordinate with company foremen/superintendents, ensuring labor and materials are properly scheduled and delivered
- Develop and manage construction project budgets
- Create and maintain a construction project management plan
- Build and maintain detailed construction schedules, including deliverables and milestones
- Manage construction resources, including materials, labor, and equipment
- Prepare and deliver status reports to project stakeholders
Qualifications and Skills Required for Construction Project Manager:
- Minimum two years of construction project management experience required
- Experience estimating construction projects and preparing customer quotes
- Prior experience managing construction sites or overseeing field crews
- Experience coordinating with subcontractors, general contractors, and field personnel
- Demonstrated risk management experience in construction environments
- Proven ability to manage construction projects from start to finish
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problemsolving and conflictresolution abilities
- Proficiency in project management fundamentals: scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management
- Ability to coordinate multiple construction projects simultaneously
Education and Training Required for Construction Project Manager:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, business management, or related field preferred
- Solid understanding of construction management best practices
- Knowledge of current construction rules, regulations, and safety standards
