Job description

Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world, and we've designed the system with the capacity, flexibility, and performance to serve a wide range of customers, from individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity.
Export Control : This position requires that the candidate selected be a U.S. Citizen in order to comply with U.S. government-imposed requirements related to the nature of the work and/or where it will be performed.
We are seeking a Senior Manager, PMO and Transformation to lead delivery excellence across Amazon Leo's
SAP and enterprise applications portfolio. This role owns the end-to-end delivery lifecycle: portfolio strategy,
program execution, project management, release governance, and financial and vendor management. You
ensure that process and technology investments translate into measurable business value through
disciplined execution, effective change management, and rigorous governance.
This role reports to the Head of SAP and operates as the Delivery Excellence function within the broader SAP
organization. You partner with Process and Business Excellence (who defines what to build and why), SAP
IT/COE (who designs and builds solutions), and SAP Reporting/Analytics (who delivers insights), ensuring that
demand flows efficiently from business need through delivery to value realization.
Key job responsibilities
Portfolio Strategy & Demand Management: Own the consolidated SAP portfolio view - strategy, prioritization, business case validation, and demand intake - ensuring all initiatives have clear scope, funding, and alignment before entering the delivery pipeline.
Capacity & Resource Planning: Match portfolio demand against internal and external resources, identify gaps, and provide data-driven recommendations on staffing, sequencing, and trade-offs when demand exceeds capacity.
Program & Project Execution: Lead cross-functional program planning and execution, manage dependencies across concurrent workstreams, and ensure all projects adhere to standards for scope, schedule, budget, and reporting.
Risk & Governance: Maintain RAID logs, drive mitigations, escalate blockers, and establish governance cadences including steering committees, milestone gates, and decision forums across portfolio, program, and project levels.
Release & Change Management: Own release planning, operate the Change Advisory Board, govern deployment processes through dev/quality/production environments, and manage transport and environment scheduling.
Financial Management: Develop and track annual budgets, produce monthly forecasts, drive cost optimization through vendor consolidation and rate negotiation, and deliver financial reporting including ROI tracking and variance analysis.
Vendor & SI Management: Govern vendor contracts, manage SOWs, conduct performance scorecarding, ensure deliverable accountability, and oversee resource quality across all external partners.
Delivery Excellence & Capability Building: Establish PMO standards and templates, drive continuous improvement through retrospectives, and build organizational delivery capability across Agile, hybrid, and waterfall methodologies.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
- 7+ years of people management experience
- 7+ years of technical program management experience
- .7+ years managing portfolios of concurrent technology programs with budgets exceeding $10M
- annually.
- 5+ years leading PMO organizations of 15+ people including program managers, project managers,
- and release managers.
- 3+ years managing vendor and SI relationships including contract negotiation, performance
- management, and resource governance.
- Experience with SAP or large-scale ERP implementation programs (full lifecycle from planning
- through hypercare).

- Experience with release management and change control processes in enterprise environments.
- Experience with financial management of technology portfolios: budgeting, forecasting, variance
- analysis, and ROI tracking.
- PMP, PgMP, or equivalent project/program management certification.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce executive-level reporting
- and facilitate governance forum
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree or equivalent
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementation programs, including Greenfield and Brownfield approaches.
- 3Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or high-tech environments with regulatory compliance requirements (SOX, ITAR, DFARS).
- Agile certifications (SAFe, CSM, or equivalent) with experience running hybrid delivery models.
- Experience with portfolio management tools (Clarity, Planview, ServiceNow PPM, or Jira Portfolio).
- Experience managing delivery in environments with 5+ concurrent programs and 50+ project team members.
- Experience with organizational change management methodologies (Prosci, ADKAR) applied to technology-driven transformation.
- Experience scaling PMO operations across greenfield launches or new business line enablements.
- Financial analysis or FP&A background with ability to build business cases and track value realization.
- Experience with process mining or analytics tools to measure delivery efficiency and identify improvement opportunities.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
