Job description

Position Title:Studio Engineer - TemporaryAppointment Type:Professional & ScientificJob Description:

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

The Greenlee School of Journalism and Communication seeks an enthusiastic, student-centered studio engineer to oversee spaces and equipment dedicated to digital media production, editing, live streaming, and broadcasting. The successful candidate will provide technical support for students and faculty; encourage and manage the use of studios and equipment; implement operational and safety procedures and standards; assist with the launch of a student-run satellite radio station; and advise the school on media production needs. Work hours may vary based on operational needs.

Required Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Two years of professional experience as an audio/video engineer.

Preferred Qualifications:
Professional experience beyond the minimum required;
Previous experience teaching or mentoring students;
Knowledge of relevant technology (i.e., Behringer sound boards, Black Magic cameras, studio lighting, studio/podcasting audio, Extron AV, Zetta radio automation, Canon cameras and lenses, and inventorymanagement programs)

The Greenlee School of Journalism and Communication is home to a dynamic ACEJMC-accredited undergraduate program with a growing investment in digital media production. The school offers majors in advertising, public relations, journalism, and sports media and communication, as well as an interdisciplinary major in digital storytelling.
