Note - Travel Experience Required Job description We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct patient care before and after surgical procedures. You will collaborate with healthcare professionals to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans, while maintaining a high standard of nursing practice. Key Responsibilities: Patient Care Planning: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with healthcare providers. Bedside Nursing: Provide direct, individualized care to pre- and post-surgery patients. Medication Administration: Prepare, administer, and document prescribed medications accurately. Medical Procedures: Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs, and manage other medical procedures as required. Medical Equipment Management: Adjust specialized medical equipment and interpret and record measurements. Vitals Monitoring: Monitor patient vitals, identify changes in conditions, and report adverse reactions to medications promptly. Discharge Planning: Collaborate with the healthcare team on discharge planning to ensure a smooth transition from hospital to home. Patient Education: Answer patient and family questions, providing education on surgical procedures and post-surgery care. Documentation: Maintain and update patient files, medical charts, and health records accurately. Adherence to Standards: Follow best nursing practices, protocols, and regulatory guidelines. Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a surgical setting. Licenses/Certifications: Active State RN license. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required. Education: Bachelors Degree Certification: Basic Life Support
