The UHealth System at the University of Miami has an exciting opportunity for a Physician Relations Manager in Medley.

SUMMARY

The Physician Relations Manager develops and implements provider engagement strategies focused on physicians, medical groups, hospital partners, and community organizations. This position develops and maintains relationships with identified partners within the assigned service area in support of the University's growth strategies.

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Provides information on the University's primary and specialty care practices, locations, and educational opportunities.
  • Serves as a resource and primary contact to community partners. Strives to increase the visibility of the University's services, referrals, revenue, and new patient acquisitions.
  • Provides leadership with intel on strategic market development in a timely fashion.
  • Identifies strategic opportunities through utilization of data and market research.
  • Provides unparalleled customer service to our network of referring physicians.
  • Oversees all open-enrollment activities, including cultivating new relationships with key organizations.
  • Ensures provider engagement strategies align with the University's mission and goals.
  • Administers and monitors departmental budget.
  • Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures.
  • Ensures employees are trained on controls within the function and on University policy and procedures.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Bachelor's degree in relevant field required

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience required

Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:

  • Knowledge of business and management principles.
  • Ability to direct, manage, implement, and evaluate department operations.
  • Ability to establish department goals and objectives that support the strategic plan.
  • Ability to effectively plan, delegate and/or supervise the work of others.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, develop and train others.
  • Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
