Position Summary

The Concessions Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the serving of guests in the venue functions. The Concessions Supervisor must be personable and able to work in an ever-changing fast-paced environment. The Concessions Supervisor will assist the Director of Concessions and the rest of the OVG leadership team with projects including training, inventory, and special events. The Concessions Supervisor must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled for business needs. 

This role pays an hourly rate of $28.00 - $30.00

This position will remain open until July 31, 2026

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the setup and service of concessions food and beverage.   
  • Assist in recording a guest's order via POS system. 
  • Observe guests to respond to any additional requests or observations and always strive to deliver excellent guest service to internal and external guests. 
  • Ensure that menus and products are stocked and ready at the beginning of the event. 
  • Supervises the setup of concessions functions, including beverages, snacks, and paper products. 
  • Train and coach new & current employees on standard operation procedures in the concessions area.
  • Maintains sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas. 
  • Show demonstrated ability to meet the company standard for excellent attendance. 
  • Assures that the location equipment is operable and clean prior to the start of the event. 
  • Responsible for recognizing guests that are visibly intoxicated and taking action to cut off alcohol to such individuals. 
  • Enforce all OVG and DPC policies and procedures. 
  • Supervises a talented team of concessions workers and part-time temporary labor workers. 
Qualifications
  • At least 1-2 years' experience working in a supervisory capacity in a food & beverage environment.
  • Ability to supervise the work of others.
  • Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests in a clear, business-like, and respectful manner that focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative work environment.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
  • Possess a valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required by state or federal regulations.
  • Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly.
  • Ability to calculate basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) as they relate to POS cash/credit transactions, cash reconciliation and product inventory
  • Basic knowledge of office software, Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint.
