Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour
Shift: 2nd Shift, 1:30pm – 10:00pm Monday through Friday
Summary
Kelly Services is hiring a Temporary Packaging Specialist who rotates through multiple positions in the production line, such as Slide Operator, Pouch Placer, Boxer, Bread Layer, and Bulk Packer. This role is responsible for ensuring products are properly counted, packaged, monitored, and prepared for shipment while adhering to food safety standards and quality requirements.
Essential Functions
- Rotate between various production line positions as needed
- Count products as they are stacked in boxes
- Stack products on conveyor lines, monitoring flow and quality
- Remove product from conveyor and arrange in assembled boxes
- Conduct quality checks on products moving from the freezer down the slide
- Monitor metal detector to ensure safety standards are met
- Stack loaded boxes on pallets for transportation
- Operate taping machines for sealed product boxes
- Operate cartoner and organize loaded boxes for shipment
- Load finished boxes onto incline conveyors
- Change codes on tapers, hand stamps, and carton machines as needed
- Maintain food safety by adhering to health standards and safe work practices
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), SQF, and safety guidelines
- Report any safety or food safety concerns to appropriate personnel
- Attend work regularly and on time
- Work overtime when required
- Perform other production-specific duties as assigned
- Adherence to plant standards, quality, and productivity requirements
- Ability to maintain reliable attendance per policy
- Must have Manufacturing
- Team-oriented; consistently meets customer expectations through collaboration, respect, and support
- Effective and positive communication with peers, leaders, and customers
