Job description

Clinical / Medical Laboratory Scientist

Our client is looking for an experienced Clinical / Medical Laboratory Scientist (formerly Medical Technologist) to perform diagnostic testing on patient samples, analyze test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits to aid physicians in the diagnosis or monitoring of various disease states.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or related field.
  • Valid ASCP or AMT certification required.
  • State laboratory licensure if applicable for the assignment.
  • Phlebotomy experience required.
  • Experience with chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis, coagulation, blood bank, molecular, and microbiology testing preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year clinical laboratory experience preferred as CLS / MLS / Medical Technologist.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Willingness to cross-train on night shift for occasional coverage.
  • Candidates eligible for lead technologist roles should hold MLS certification for consideration for microbiology or chemistry lead positions.
