Job Description RCS Staffing has an immediate need for a Mechanical CADD Designer - OpenPlant in Denver, CO or Muscatine, IA. This is a full-time contract-to-hire Hybrid Office assignment with our client. This position offers a competitive package including benefits, vacation and holidays.

Overview of YOUR role as a Mechanical CADD Designer - OpenPlant As a Mechanical CADD Designer - OpenPlant, you will produce neat, legible mechanical piping construction documents that meet company and client quality control standards. You will function as a graphics lead or task lead on simple projects or as a sub-lead on large, complex projects. This role requires proficiency with OpenPlant or Plant3D software and the ability to create detailed isometric and construction drawings for industrial, institutional, or utility projects.

As a Mechanical CADD Designer - OpenPlant YOU will: Use OpenPlant or Plant3D software to produce mechanical piping construction documents Function as graphics lead, controlling graphics budget and schedule Plan and control the development of project drawings and drafting presentations Create detailed isometric drawings using specialized software Revise drawings under supervision from verbal and written instructions, marked prints, and sketches Accumulate and assemble project information as directed by drafting or task leads Check for inconsistencies between drawings and ensure document accuracy Gather information and data from catalogs and reference materials Collaborate with engineers and project teams on design concepts Perform quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with standards Perform other work-related duties as assigned YOU are the ideal Mechanical CADD Designer - OpenPlant candidate if you have: Associate or technical school degree, or combination of education and relevant experience (required) Minimum of 5+ years of mechanical CADD design experience (required) Proficiency in some combination of Bentley MicroStation, OpenPlant, or Plant3D software (required) Demonstrated ability to create isometric drawings using design software (required) Mechanical 2D/3D drafting and modeling experience (required) Industrial, institutional, federal, or utility project experience Solid understanding of design and drafting techniques Functional familiarity with engineering terminology Ability to work as graphics lead on projects Strong attention to detail and quality control mindset Good communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions It's a BONUS if you have: Experience with ProjectWise AutoCAD experience Extensive OpenPlant and Plant3D experience Piping system design experience Large complex project experience Leadership or mentoring experience with design teams Knowledge of industrial or utility design standards Advanced 3D modeling capabilities About Our CLIENT Our client is an engineering consulting firm with over a century of success in the Water Market.
