Job Description:
Parsons is looking for a talented Drafter to join our team full-time to support one of the many large transformative transportation projects that we have either won, are currently pursuing, or will pursue across the nation.
Some of the larger projects are located in the states of:
  • Tennessee
  • Georgia
  • North Carolina
  • Virginia
  • Indiana

In this role, you will help deliver the design for projects that have a construction value greater than $1 billion, and in turn assist in enhancing the mobility, safety, and reliability for communities who live along and travel through these critical corridors. This position is remote, and the selected candidate will have flexibility in work location while still supporting virtual collaboration with Parsons teams.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Utilize Microstation to prepare contract drawings from general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures.
  • Utilize technical manuals and directives to ensure compliance with codes and company policies.
  • Become familiar with various standards and codes such as AASHTO
  • Compile data and perform dimensional and routine calculations required for the preparation of drawings.
  • Understand how to read and create orthographic (2D) and/or isometric (3D) designs and interpret supplier/manufacturer drawings.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 5+ or more of relevant experience preferred with civil drafting and design
  • Solid Working knowledge of Microstation InRoads and/or Open Roads is essential for this position
  • Projectwise and project delivery experience is desirable
  • Experience with above states DOT drafting standards is desirable, but not required
  • Working knowledge of other computer software used to complete design assignments
