ROLE SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Temp - Shelf Planning Specialist to join our Commercial Analytics & Sales Execution (CASE) team. This is a temporary role with an estimated duration of 3-6 months with potential to move into a full-time opportunity based on performance. This role will be responsible for analyzing relevant sales and assortment data in order to provide best in class planograms that adhere to our Retail Partners merchandising goals.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support the Category Leadership Team in executing Merchandise Planning functions to produce Best in Class planograms for our retail and wholesale partners.
  • Develop and analyze merchandise assortments that deliver overall category growth through a combination of internal merchandising tools coupled with retailer-specified guidelines.
  • Analyze retail and market-level data to develop planogram schematics utilizing JDA Space Planning software platform.
  • Create relevant product assortments and optimal space planning that drive sales across the business.
  • Assist with administrative responsibilities prior to retail project sets, such as data cleansing, planogram management, planogram retrieval, reviewing retail and category management guidelines, etc.
  • Structured space planning software and a company overview training program provide basic industry and specific role knowledge before executing live merchandising planograms.
  • Certified JDA Space Planning training available for space planning software provides industry recognition and elevates ability to work within the software.
  • Ongoing web-based training available to assist with the development of industry, analytical and category management skills.
  • Learn CPG industry-specific sales processes and merchandise strategies through collaborative projects
  • Ad hoc support across various Shelf Excellence Center initiatives.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Undergraduate or Graduate in the field of Business, Marketing, Merchandising, Retail Management, or other equivalent degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in business, marketing, or related field a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to collaborate with a wide range of professionals, strong oral and written communication skills, good judgment, time-management skills, and creativity.
  • Excellent organizational skills, analytic skills with an ability to prioritize workload.
  • CPG industry or alcoholic beverage sales experience is a plus.
  • Flexible and capable of adapting to rapidly changing situations
  • Ability to follow established protocol and work independently or within a team
  • Ability to relocate for future opportunities is strongly preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • A Shelf Planning Specialist may work as a member of a team or individually to complete projects.
  • Available for a 4-week mandatory training from August 17th -September 18th
  • A considerable amount of time is spent working at a computer to analyze and design merchandising schematics.
  • Occasional opportunities to partner with local wholesalers to physically implement planogram resets at local stores.
  • The required attire is considered smart casual, with jeans acceptable.
  • Overtime may be required during peak times or in cases of project deadlines.
