Job description

Valley Medical Group is looking for a Phlebotomist to join our Laboratory team and work in our Easthampton Health Center. If you are looking for a dynamic environment, this is your opportunity!

Position: Phlebotomist

Location: Easthampton

Hours: 40 hours, Monday - Friday generally between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Hours may vary depending on department needs. Exact schedule to be discussed at time of interview. This is a temporary position.

As a Phlebotomist, the candidate must have the ability to collect blood from patients of all ages through venipuncture. A successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail, good customer service skills, and be proficient in computers, data entry, and the operation of equipment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collecting samples from patients of all ages
  • Processing and accessions of clinical specimens
  • Checking patients in and out, scheduling appointments, answering phones, greeting patients

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate from a Phlebotomy Program or Medical Assistant Program
  • Previous customer service or medical office experience
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPT preferred, but not required
  • EMR experience preferred, Athena experience a plus
