Job description

Position Overview

Manage, develop, and execute sales activities to drive business growth, expand market presence, and build strong customer relationships.


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new customers and target markets aligned with company capabilities.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships and serve as the primary point of contact.
  • Represent the organization with customer quality, engineering, purchasing, and management teams.
  • Document customer interactions and provide meeting and travel reports.
  • Oversee the estimating process to ensure timely quotations and follow-up activities that support new business acquisition.
  • Manage customer service activities to ensure accurate order entry, contract review, and ERP system compliance.
  • Develop and maintain business development pipelines, sales forecasts, and management reports.
  • Analyze sales trends and market conditions to identify growth opportunities.
  • Create and implement strategic sales plans that support company objectives.
  • Review market pricing and customer requirements to ensure competitive positioning.
  • Prepare quotations, sales contracts, and RFQ documentation.
  • Communicate customer feedback and market intelligence to management.
  • Negotiate long-term agreements and commercial terms with customers.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, operations, and other departments to support customer requirements.
  • Coordinate participation in trade shows, industry events, and business development activities.
  • Maintain and update sales presentations and marketing materials.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of 4 years of sales, business development, account management, or related experience.
  • Manufacturing industry experience preferred.

Skills

  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to develop customer relationships and close new business opportunities.
  • Experience with ERP systems preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.


Preferred Knowledge

  • Experience working within ISO 9001, AS9100, or IATF 16949 quality environments.
  • Familiarity with quoting processes, contract review, forecasting, and customer account management.


Work Environment

  • Regular travel to customer locations, trade shows, and industry events as required.
  • Combination of office and manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, drive, and use standard office equipment for extended periods.
