Job description

Job Title: BCM Temporary - Administrative Support - Provider Scheduling
Division: Pediatrics
Work Arrangement:
Location: Houston, TX
Salary Range: $27 - $33 per hour
FLSA Status: Nonexempt
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Summary
Baylor College of Medicine's Pediatrics Division is seeking temporary administrative support to assist with will provider scheduling, including support of faculty clinic schedules, moonlighting shifts, vacation tracking, and related scheduling needs.
This is a temporary position with a maximum assignment length of 3 months. BCM Temporary positions are not eligible for benefits.
There may be potential for conversion to a permanent position.
Job Duties
  • Records and maintains campus consensus scheduling data within QGenda.
  • Monitors and tracks moonlighting shifts to ensure appropriate coverage.
  • Identifies open and unpublished shifts and communicates availability as needed.
  • Supports administration of annual surveys, including provider type, holiday, disaster team, and satisfaction surveys.
  • Updates and maintains QGenda shift maps.
  • Creates and manages provider academic CARTs.
  • Serves as a liaison for moonlighting volunteers, including notification and equitable distribution of shifts.
  • Adjusts and updates provider CARTs as operational needs change.
  • Maintains and updates QGenda targets and scheduling rules.
  • Drafts and distributes shift-related correspondence to new staff members.
  • Updates internal Access databases for block and scheduling reports.
  • Generates and distributes standard and ad hoc QGenda reports.
  • Enters and updates called-in backup coverage and/or moonlighting shifts in QGenda.
  • Coordinates scheduling-related meetings, including attendance and preparation of meeting minutes.
  • Updates call schedules as required to reflect staffing changes.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Three years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills
  • Provider scheduling experience.
  • QGenda experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills, particularly with pivot tables.
