Support enterprise transformation initiatives that improve member and provider experience, advance digital capabilities, and optimize health plan operations. This role offers hands-on exposure to strategy execution, program management, and innovation within a high-growth health plan environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Initiatives & Program Support
    • Support execution of enterprise initiatives (e.g., benefit design, vendor platform implementations, digital modernization)
    • Process mapping
    • Track milestones, risks, and dependencies across workstreams
    • Assist in preparing leadership-ready updates (status, risks, key decisions)
    • Conduct research, analysis, and basic business case support
  • Member & Provider Experience
    • Assist with journey mapping and identification of experience gaps
    • Analyze data and feedback to identify friction points
    • Support design of improved enrollment, access, and service experiences
  • Product Management, Benefits & Market Research
    • Conduct benchmarking of competitive benefit offerings and trends
    • Support analysis of benefit enhancements and pilot programs
    • Assist in evaluating member impact (cost, utilization, engagement)
  • Digital & Technology Initiatives
    • Support digital projects (member portal, vendor platforms, AI pilots)
    • Assist with requirements gathering, documentation, and testing
    • Conduct research on emerging technologies and vendor solutions
  • Data & Analytics
    • Compile and analyze data to support decision-making
    • Track key performance metrics (cost, utilization, experience)
    • Develop simple dashboards or visuals for leadership review
  • Change Management & Communications
    • Assist in developing communications, presentations, and training materials
    • Support stakeholder coordination across IT, operations, and clinical teams
    • Help track adoption and feedback on new initiatives

    Qualifications

    • Currently enrolled in a graduate program (MSHS, MSIE, MBA, MHA, MPH or related)
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
    • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with data tools a plus
    • Interest in healthcare, health plans, or innovation/transformation
    • Strong communication skills with ability to synthesize information clearly

    NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs.  Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department.
