Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Onsite at San Antonio, TX
Duration: 6 Months with possibility of extension based on the project requirements
Hours: Monday-Friday 7am- 4pm (OT might be required mainly on Fridays but could be some Saturdays as well as required per the projects)

Description:
Responsibility is to support Engineering projects developing technical drawings that help translate engineering and architectural designs into detailed plans used in building products and structures. Their day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with engineers and other professionals to clarify design specifications, layout updates using AUTOCAD software, place and follow up purchase orders for new tooling and equipment to produce drawings and checking design drawings to verify they’re accurate and meet industry standards.

Requirements and other responsibilities:
  • Extensive working knowledge of AUTOCAD software, 2D AND 3d, to be able to prepare technical drawings efficiently
  • Ability to analyze design sketches and specifications to create technical drawings
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure drawings are accurate according to specifications
  • Communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with architects, engineers and other professionals
  • Time management skills to work with multiple projects and competing deadlines
  • Knowledge of engineering practices and industry standards
  • Advanced mathematical skills
  • Ability to perform physical measurements to create layouts as required
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary projects review between departments and other stakeholders
  • Create and follow up proflem follow up sheets to monitor and guide completion of activities
  • Experience with manufacturing tools and equipment to be able to support prototype pilot build constructions
  • Availability to work OT and / or Weekends as required per project deliverables
  • Knowledge of Ms office to be perform analysis and prepare executive presentations
  • Previous manufacturing Automotive/Truck Industry experience is a plus
  • Bilingual English / Spanish is a plus
  • Looking for at least 3 years of experience and preferably, but not required in Automotive/Truck industry.
  • Standard Pro software will be a big plus
  • The manager needs strong experience in line balance and process set up
Must Haves:
  • AutoCAD Experience (2D and 3D layouts)
  • Manufacturing Experience (Line balance, PFMEA, process mapping, Standard work, etc.)
  • Mfg. Tooling and Equipment Installation Experience
  • Engineering degree is a must and Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing would be strongly preferred
