Job Title - Cell Culturist [Exp. In Molecular Biology]
Location - Research Triangle Park, NC
Duration - 7+ Months Contract
Total Hours/week - 40.00
1st Shift

Client: Medical Device Company
Employment Type: Contract on W2 (Need US Citizens Or GC Holders Only)
Work days/hours: M - F 8am - 5pm
Temp Position - Cervical Cancer Assay Development
Onsite/Virtual: Onsite daily

Description:
We are seeking a cell culturist with experience in molecular biology to join our team as a temporary associate. This team member will participate in qPCR assay development, testing, and validation, and must have experience working under BSL2 conditions. The team member may also be responsible for the receipt and logging of clinical samples, as well as subsequent DNA and protein extraction and QC.
Job Responsibilities
• Primary duty: Cell culture of Biosafety Level 2 (BSL2) human adherent cell lines
• Adherence to all laboratory SOPs, including BSL2 procedures
• Accurate and comprehensive documentation in LIMS/QA systems (GLP environment)
• Handling of human clinical samples
• Set-up and analysis of bisulfite conversion experiments
• Set-up and analysis of qPCR assays
Job Requirements and Experience
• B.A./B.S. in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or related field
• 2+ year experience in molecular biology laboratory environment (university or industry)
• Prior experience in BSL2 environment required
• Prior experience in human adherent cell culture required
• Demonstrated expertise in DNA isolation and QC required
• Excellent attention to detail with an understanding of laboratory practices is required
• Learning agility and timely execution of tasks required
• Experience running qPCR assays required
• Experience developing qPCR assays preferred
• Comfort with troubleshooting qPCR assays preferred
• Experience implementing epigenetic assays preferred
