A premier North Carolina domestic relations law firm is seeking a driven Family Law Associate Attorney with 3 to 5 years of dedicated experience to join its Raleigh practice. Handling high-net-worth divorce, complex equitable distribution, and sensitive child custody matters, this position provides direct client engagement, extensive litigation responsibility, and strategic trial experience alongside leading family law practitioners.


Key Responsibilities

  • Case Advocacy: Lead domestic relations cases from initial client consultation through litigation, mediation, and trial.
  • Legal Drafting: Prepare comprehensive pleadings, motions, separation agreements, premarital contracts, equitable distribution affidavits, and financial discovery requests.
  • Courtroom Representation: Represent clients in state District Courts for temporary hearings, domestic violence protective orders, custody disputes, and bench trials.
  • Negotiation & ADR: Conduct strategic settlement negotiations, judicial conferences, and private mediations to achieve client objectives efficiently.
  • Discovery Management: Oversee complex financial discovery, subpoena issuance, bank record tracings, and deposition preparations for marital property valuations.
