Job Title: IT Technician Trainee (Temporary)
Reports To: Technology & Ops Manager

Division: RYSS Texas Public Schools

POSITION SUMMARY
The IT Technician Trainee is a temporary position designed to provide hands-on experience while supporting the organization's day-to-day technology needs. Under the guidance of the IT Contractor and leadership, the trainee assists with basic technical support, computer setup, troubleshooting, and maintaining technology equipment across campuses and departments.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Interest in Information Technology or related field preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows computers and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently with guidance.
  • Ability to lift and move technology equipment up to 30 pounds.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
  • Provide basic technical support for computers, printers, and other technology devices.
  • Assist with setting up computers, laptops, and user accounts for new employees.
  • Install and update software as directed.
