Job Summary
We are seeking an IT Technician for a contract opportunity supporting technology operations in a government and public sector environment in West Palm Beach, FL. This role is a strong fit for a hands-on desktop support or help desk professional who enjoys troubleshooting technical issues, supporting end users, and providing dependable onsite IT service.
The IT Technician will work from the main office and travel to additional locations throughout Palm Beach County as needed. This opportunity offers exposure to a variety of desktop support, hardware, software, printer, peripheral, and connectivity needs in a stable, service-focused environment.
Candidates can expect supportive leadership, collaborative team interaction, and the chance to strengthen field support experience while making a direct impact on day-to-day technology operations. The right professional will be dependable, customer-focused, flexible, and comfortable working in both office and field settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide onsite desktop support, help desk support, and field technical assistance to internal end users.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network connectivity, printer, and peripheral issues.
- Travel to various locations throughout Palm Beach County to resolve technical support requests.
- Install, configure, maintain, and support computers, laptops, and related IT equipment.
- Document support activities, issue resolutions, equipment updates, and service details as needed.
- Deliver professional, timely, and customer-focused technical support in a public sector environment.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay rate: $20.00 per hour.
- Job type: Contract/Temporary through the end of November.
- Location: West Palm Beach, FL, with travel to other sites throughout Palm Beach County as needed.
