Job Title: Quality Inspector / Quality Technician – Analytical Lab

Job Description

This role supports an analytical quality laboratory by performing lab-based inspections, chemical testing, and detailed data recording to ensure the quality of both raw materials and finished products. You will work with modern lab equipment in a climate-controlled environment, contribute to accurate quality control decisions, and help maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare raw materials and final products for analytical testing according to established procedures.
  • Perform chemical analysis using Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS) and Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectroscopy (ICP-OES) applications.
  • Conduct lab-based quality inspections, including measurement activities and quality checks using laboratory tools and instruments.
  • Use laboratory equipment such as pH meters, microscopes, micrometers, and other testing instruments to verify product quality.
  • Review and enter test data accurately, keeping detailed and organized records of all tests performed.
  • Interpret test results and communicate findings clearly to relevant stakeholders as needed.
  • Perform routine lab housekeeping tasks, including cleaning labware and maintaining an orderly work area.
  • Prepare standards and solutions as required for analytical testing.
  • Perform basic instrument maintenance and support the proper functioning of lab equipment.
  • Follow quality control and quality assurance procedures to ensure consistent and reliable test results.
  • Work safely with hazardous materials by following established safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by maintaining high standards of organization, cleanliness, and documentation within the lab.
  • Adapt to a Monday–Friday schedule during training, with the flexibility to transition to a Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Saturday shift once training is complete.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in a chemical or analytical laboratory environment, including hands-on lab testing and inspection.
  • Ability to perform chemical analysis using Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS) and Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectroscopy (ICP-OES), or strong aptitude and willingness to learn these techniques.
  • Familiarity with quality inspection, quality control, and quality assurance practices in a lab environment.
  • Proficiency in using laboratory equipment such as pH meters, microscopes, micrometers, and related testing instruments.
  • Strong data entry skills and the ability to review, interpret, and accurately record test results.
  • Experience working safely with hazardous materials and following laboratory safety procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field such as science, chemistry, or metallurgy preferred but not required.
  • Experience in chemistry or metallurgical science is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a quality lab, quality inspection, or laboratory technician role is advantageous.
  • Comfort working with laboratory data systems and documentation processes.
  • Ability to adapt to different shifts (Monday–Friday during training, with potential transition to Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Saturday).
