Human Resources Manager Overview
PlanITROI is seeking an experienced, hands-on Human Resources Manager to lead HR operations, people strategy, and full-cycle recruitment at our Center of Excellence. This HR leader will partner closely with executive leadership to build scalable HR and talent acquisition programs that support organizational growth, operational excellence, and teammate engagement.
The HR Manager will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and be responsible for the full spectrum of human resources activities, including compliance, recruitment and talent acquisition, talent development, teammate relations, performance management, workforce planning, investigations, culture, and more. This role will play a critical part in shaping company culture and ensuring HR practices support our mission of Changing Lives with Affordable Technology.
The ideal candidate is hands-on and operational—capable of developing long-term people strategies while remaining actively involved in day-to-day HR functions, including personally driving recruiting outcomes within a fast-growing, operations and technology-driven organization.
This is a full-time, ONSITE role in Youngsville, NC, reporting to our Chief Strategy Officer.
Key Responsibilities will include:
HR Management & Leadership Support
- Serve as the primary HR leader at the PlanITROI Center of Excellence in Youngsville, NC, partnering with executive leadership to align HR and talent acquisition strategies with business goals.
- Act as a trusted advisor on organizational design, workforce planning, headcount forecasting, retention, and culture initiatives.
- Design, build, and deliver PlanITROI’s end-to-end onboarding, orientation, and training programs, including ownership of the “PlanITROI Way” experience.
- Lead initiatives that support company growth, operational scalability, and teammate engagement.
- Design and execute career pathing and professional development programs to support internal mobility and retention.
- Provide coaching and guidance to managers on interviewing, hiring decisions, onboarding, teammate engagement, and performance management.
- Partner with leaders to strengthen team dynamics and leadership effectiveness.
- Ensure consistent and fair application of HR policies and procedures.
Talent Acquisition & Recruitment:
- Own and personally execute the full-cycle recruitment for Operations and Production from workforce planning through onboarding.
- Partner with leadership to define hiring needs, create job descriptions, and build proactive recruiting strategies aligned to business growth.
- Build and maintain strong talent pipelines using multiple sourcing channels, including tech schools, universities, job boards, and referrals.
- Develop and implement structured interview processes, selection criteria, and hiring best practices to ensure quality-of-hire.
- Train and coach hiring managers on effective interviewing techniques, candidate evaluation, and selection decisions.
- Track, analyze, and report on recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, quality-of-hire, pipeline health, source effectiveness).
- Enhance employer branding and candidate experience to position PlanITROI as an employer of choice.
- Partner with leadership on competitive compensation strategies to attract and retain top talent.
- Support onboarding alignment to ensure a seamless transition from candidate to high-performing teammate.
HR Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Execute HR policies, procedures, and the teammate handbook.
- Manage HR documentation and operational processes.
- Improve HR systems, workflows, and reporting capabilities.
- Evaluate HR and recruiting metrics to support data-driven decision-making.
- Lead investigations and manage risk mitigation strategies related to employment matters.
- Assist in audit documentation and compliance procedures.
- Support process improvements that enhance efficiency and the overall teammate and candidate experience.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- HR certifications such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR preferred.
- Proven experience (7–10 years) in HR management, HR business partnering, or senior HR generalist roles, including direct responsibility for recruiting and talent acquisition.
- Demonstrated success executing full-cycle recruiting efforts and hiring at scale, particularly in operations, manufacturing, or production environments.
- Must have strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws in North Carolina (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, OSHA).
- Experience building recruiting strategies, pipelines, and employer branding initiatives.
- Proven ability to lead teammate relations, investigations, conflict resolution, and performance management.
- Experience implementing HR policies, procedures, and scalable people programs.
- Strong coaching skills, particularly in interviewing and hiring best practices.
- Experience with HR systems, ATS platforms, and recruiting tools.
- Ability to design and execute career pathways and engagement programs.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence all levels of the organization.
- High emotional intelligence, professionalism, and the ability to build trust quickly.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
- Ability to navigate complex situations with confidentiality, diplomacy, and sound judgment.
