Job description

Southeast Texas HR is seeking a Temporary Medical Assistant to join our team in the Hospital and Health Care industry. In this role, you will provide a variety of patient care activities, clerical duties and accommodative services for all patients. The pay will be $16+ per hour DOE.

The responsibilities of the Medical Assistant are:
  • Performs patient care within limits of position and under direct supervision, which may include vital signs, obtaining height and weight, phlebotomy, and other procedures required for health screenings.
  • Assists patients with navigation throughout the clinic and with appointments; as well as, scheduling of patients.
  • Maintains and orders clinic and lab supplies, including stocking of the lab, clinic and infusion room areas and proper disposal of waste.
  • Consistently follows hospital policy regarding verification of patient identification before obtaining specimens.
  • Ensure patient charges are completed and accurate on a daily basis in the computer.


Requirements

To be considered for this position you must meet the following requirements:

  • 2-3 years of Medical Assistant experience.
  • Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
  • CPR certification required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to show proof of all immunization records.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
