At Palm House, exceptional hospitality begins with exceptional people. We are seeking a welcoming, attentive, and organized Host/Hostess to help set the tone for a memorable dining experience at our luxury boutique hotel.
As one of the first people our guests meet, you will bring warmth and professionalism to every interaction. From managing reservations to coordinating seating and recognizing special occasions, your attention to detail will help each guest feel personally welcomed and cared for.
Your Role
  • Welcome guests promptly and graciously, using their names whenever possible and creating a positive first impression.
  • Manage reservations, seating assignments, and waitlists accurately while balancing guest preferences and the flow of service.
  • Provide clear, courteous updates about table availability and anticipated wait times.
  • Escort guests to their tables, present menus, and coordinate a smooth handoff to the service team.
  • Communicate special occasions, seating preferences, accessibility needs, and other relevant requests to the appropriate team members.
  • Work closely with servers, kitchen colleagues, and management to support an organized and attentive dining experience.
  • Answer calls and respond to reservation requests and guest inquiries with professionalism and care.
  • Maintain knowledge of dining hours, menus, hotel amenities, and current offerings to answer questions confidently.
  • Keep the host stand, menus, and entrance area clean, organized, and welcoming.
  • Handle guest concerns thoughtfully and involve a manager when additional assistance is needed.
  • Protect guest privacy and handle reservation information discreetly.
  • Assist with additional responsibilities as needed to support the team and guest experience.
