Job Description

Location: Henry Ford Genesys Hospital

Schedule: 13-week contract; 36 hours per week; every third weekend requirement

Shift: 7:00am to 7:30pm

This is a 60-90 day temporary assignment offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. As a Med/Surg Registered Nurse, you will be deployed to clinical areas of greatest need to support staffing initiatives across the organization. This role requires flexibility and commitment to our scheduling requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care in medical/surgical units, adapting to assignments based on organizational staffing needs
  • Deliver high-quality nursing care while maintaining clinical standards and patient safety protocols
  • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain current knowledge of clinical best practices and adhere to Michigan State Board of Nursing standards
  • Commit to a flexible schedule, including every other weekend and holiday rotations
  • Complete the full 56-112 day temporary assignment as scheduled
  • Work 36 hours per week (72 hours per pay period) as assigned
Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Current, active licensure as a Registered Nurse from the Michigan State Board of Nursing

• Minimum 2-3 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience

• Demonstrated ability to work flexible schedules, including every other weekend and holiday rotations

• Commitment to completing the full 56-112 day temporary assignment
