Job description

IT Desktop Support (Advanced)

We are looking for an experienced IT Desktop Support professional to provide expert-level technical support and help maintain the stability and security of end-user computing environments. This is an advanced role suited for someone who thrives on complex problem-solving, takes ownership of critical incidents, and enjoys mentoring others.

What You'll Do

In this role, you'll diagnose and resolve high-level hardware, software, and network issues while serving as a resource for junior IT staff — both through mentoring and end-user training on new technologies. You'll manage and remediate workstation security vulnerabilities using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) and Qualys, assist with file restores, and coordinate with IT Infrastructure on network status and port activation.

You'll also support audiovisual and video conferencing setups, with familiarity in platforms like Microsoft Teams, Cisco Webex, Zoom, and GoTo being a plus, as well as Microsoft Teams Rooms certified equipment. When critical incidents arise, you'll escalate and collaborate with the IT Team Lead to drive resolution. Beyond day-to-day support, you'll contribute to IT projects from implementation through completion, finalize internal documentation for future reference, and participate in an after-hours on-call rotation. Travel to remote locations may be required on occasion.

What You'll Bring

You have 2–5 years of IT experience in computer systems or support, with a strong foundation in hardware and software troubleshooting. You're comfortable working with ticketing systems, scripting and automation tools, and Active Directory, and you have a solid understanding of help desk processes and service management principles. You can manage competing priorities, work independently or as part of a team, and stay composed under pressure.

An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred — or equivalent hands-on experience. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and additional certifications are always a plus. You'll also need to be able to lift up to 50 pounds, as this is a fully onsite role with hours between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
