The Transload Operator is responsible for coordinating and executing the safe and efficient transfer of frac sand from railcars to semi trucks at the transload facility. This role ensures proper sequencing of truck loading, accurate handling of sand conveyance systems, and continuous communication with drivers, yard personnel, and leadership. The Transload Operator plays acritical role in maintaining production flow, safety compliance, and operational efficiency within the transload yard.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and prepare rail cars for loading - check all hopper doors and lids and ensure the car is empty.
  • Safely transload frac sand from semi-truck to railcar.
  • Utilize conveyors, bucket elevators and other equipment to transload frac sand.
  • Assist truck drivers with loading at rail cars and at silos.
  • Assist with preventative and general maintenance on all equipment.
  • Ensure proper use of company tools and equipment.
  • Complete daily checklists on mobile equipment.
  • Cleaning, painting and other general labor duties around the yard and workshop areas.

Requirements
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Transload experience preferred.
  • Experience operating conveyors and other equipment preferred.
  • Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in inclement weather.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds on routine basis.
  • Work environment may include moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic chemicals, airborne particles and moderate to loud noise, requiring consistent use of appropriate PPE.
  • Able to work rotational schedule and long hours.
