At Texas Card House, we are dedicated to providing the highest quality of service to our guests. We take pride in delivering memorable, positive experiences for every one who walks through our doors.


We are seeking energetic, collaborative team members to join as Food Runners for Texas' first ever 'World Series of Poker' event hosted at TCH Social Austin from April 23 - May 3, 2026.


This position will be temporary basis only.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver food quickly and accurately to guests
  • Verify orders and presentation before delivery
  • Communicate clearly with kitchen and service staff
  • Assist with table maintenance and guest needs
  • Keep expo and service areas clean 
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and requests with a positive attitude
  • Follow all Texas Card House food safety and sanitation procedures


Qualifications:

  • Active Food Handler's Certification (Required)
  • Active TABC Certification (Required)
  • Experience working in a fast-paced restaurant environment (preferred)
  • Strong ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A positive and professional attitude
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service

  • Pay: $10.50/hr Plus Tips 


Work Environment:

  • Casino gaming environment with noise, bright lights, and high-energy atmosphere.
  • Professional kitchen environment involving exposure to heat, fast-paced conditions, and strict food safety standards.

Requirements

  • Must be available April 23 - May 4
  • On-site, in-person role.
  • Mobility: Ability to walk, stand, and move quickly throughout the restaurant for extended periods.
  • Dexterity: Ability to carry trays of food and beverages, ensuring safe delivery without spillage.
  • Vision: Ability to read order tickets, identify food items, and deliver them accurately to the correct guests.
  • Hearing: Ability to hear customer requests and communicate with kitchen staff and servers in a noisy environment.
  • Communication: Clear verbal communication with guests, servers, and kitchen staff to ensure accurate delivery and a positive experience.
  • Endurance: Ability to maintain focus and energy during long shifts, including walking, standing, and carrying food.
  • Lifting: Ability to carry trays or food items weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Environment: Ability to work in a bustling, crowded environment with fluctuating noise levels and varying temperatures.
