The Breakfast Attendant sets and replenishes breakfast food for hotel guests and maintains
cleanliness in the breakfast lobby.
Current Food Handlers Permit within one month of employment; must be able to read, write,
and follow verbal instructions in English; and a commitment to providing excellence in service
required. Six months food handlers experience is preferred
Responsibilities
The Breakfast Attendant:
  • Demonstrates the ability to prioritize and change the course of action quickly, being flexible.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Provides outstanding guest service.- Sets up breakfast before guests arrive.
  • Frequently checks breakfast line for low food supply.
  • Efficiently replenishes food, beverages, and/or supplies as needed.
  • Maintains cleanliness of area throughout the morning by reorganizing and tidying food areas as needed.
  • Removes and disposes of leftover food at the end of the breakfast shift.
  • Cleans area according to established standards.
  • Ensures inventory is stocked and properly stored prior to the next day's shift.
  • Responsible for keeping inventory stocked by ordering additional food and/or supplies as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Current Food Handler's Permit within one month of employment; must be able to read, write, and follow verbal instructions in English; and a commitment to providing excellence in service required. Six months food handlers' experience is preferred.

The University is a participating employer with Utah Retirement Systems ("URS").
