JOB SUMMARY
Leadership Development Unit is the catalyst for the development of all FBI leaders. We offer training experiences, and tools that enable self-reflection and high performance to meet the mission. We partner with other HQ divisions and field offices to build a strong, interconnected network of leadership development and support. The position will serve as a program manager for one or more core courses and provide backup support for others.

The work area is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated. The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions. Occasional travel may be required.
MAJOR DUTIES

• Conduct needs assessments for leadership development at various stages in an employee's career
• Collaborate with others in LDU, TD, and field and HQ divisions to develop and improve course content
• Develop, update, and maintain curriculum and related materials (e.g., attendee guides) for core courses
• Plan and execute training courses
• Gather, analyze, and apply feedback from course attendees
• Collaborate directly with customers to develop customized solutions to meet their leadership development needs
• Provide briefings and updates to Unit and Division leadership

Specialized Experience (SE)
GS-13: Applicant must possess at least one (1) year of SE equivalent to the GS-12 grade level. SE is defined as follows:

• Experience in project management and execution.

• Experience in customer service liaising with internal and external partners by actively listening, resolving concerns efficiently, and communicating clearly and professionally.
• Experience in written and spoken communication, including providing briefings and presentations.
• Experience using FBI technology including Sentinel, Virtual Academy, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft SharePoint.

If no documentation is furnished no credit will be given for time worked in that position. The following notations must be specified in the documentation:
     • Percent of time worked in the particular position (cannot conflict with main duties.
     • The month/year work began
       Frequency worked (i.e., daily, monthly, etc.)
     • Specific duties performed

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• The FBI is in the Executive Branch of the federal government. It is one of the components of the Department of Justice (DOJ). The FBI is the principle investigative arm of the DOJ. All FBI positions are in the excepted service.
