This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Evening shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with every other weekend required.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to work primarily in the 1S Observation unit, with the potential to float to other Med-Surg units (Respiratory, Stroke, Cardiac, etc.) and possibly the Emergency Department (ED) as well. Candidates must have current Epic EMR proficiency, active BLS and ACLS certifications, and a strong background in Telemetry/Med-Surg nursing.

Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care in the 1S Observation unit and other assigned units as needed.
  • Float to Med-Surg units and ED when required, following appropriate skill and knowledge guidelines.
  • Conduct telemetry monitoring and accurately interpret results.
  • Maintain accurate patient records utilizing Epic EMR.
  • Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Active RN license with a minimum of 3 years of current/recent experience in Telemetry/Med-Surg.
  • Proficiency in reading Telemetry/BCRA, tested on the first day.
  • Active BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Current Epic EMR proficiency is a must; refresher classes or 1:1 sit-in sessions are not available.
