Job description

Position Summary
As a Security Officer at MBS, you play a crucial role in fostering a secure, safe, and welcoming environment for both employees and guests. Serving as accessible resources, MBS Security Officers provide assistance in various situations, including crisis intervention and information dissemination. With a commitment to swift responses during emergencies, these officers are integral team members dedicated to protecting MBS stadium's property, guests, and employees. Their proactive stance involves engaging in preventive activities and actively contributing to overall building safety and security by continuously monitoring and reporting physical security and safety conditions.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Must be willing to work up to a 12-hour shift if needed: 6AM-12PM or 12PM-6PM( Monday-Friday.) This role will also support other days/shifts as needed.
• Conduct thorough foot patrols and execute comprehensive security checks throughout the entire property.
• Visually inspect and monitor designated areas, ensuring the proper functioning of security and safety equipment.
• Promptly investigate and report any unusual or unauthorized activities.
• Maintain vigilance for potential fire hazards, suspicious packages, spills, and be alert to unusual sounds or odors.
• Inspect and report the condition of areas, exits, and emergency lighting.
• Monitor external access points to vital areas within the facility.
• Oversee access through designated doors, responding to alarm conditions, and facilitating safe evacuations when necessary.
• Respond to audible alarms on HVAC and Electrical Equipment, following procedures to report and silence alarms during after-hours operations.
• Identify and turn off electrical appliances left on after normal work hours to mitigate fire risks.
• Closely monitor designated areas for trespassers and unauthorized individuals.
• Control building access by registering and directing visitors, inspecting ID cards, and issuing temporary access badges as needed.
• Escort visitors and personnel according to established procedures.
• Inspect packages and designated items, including acting as a searcher when required.
• Operate and monitor CCTV and access control systems where applicable.
• Utilize computer-based security/safety software and applications.
• Complete required testing of security and fire systems equipment as per established procedures.
• Operate and monitor alarm systems, initiating appropriate responses to various alarms.
• Ensure continuous communication with the AMBSE Security Management Team and dispatch additional security personnel or check alarms as required.
• Maintain excellent health and physical condition, being able to stand and walk for extended periods.
Qualifications Requirements:
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school education or successful completion of a General Educational Development (GED) equivalency test.
• Proficient in speaking and writing English.
• Successful completion of a medical examination, including a chemical and substance abuse test and analysis.
• Completion of the Individual Confidentiality Contract, Release of Information Statement, and Chemical Non-Abuse Statement.
• Successful completion of background investigations required by AMBSE.
• Minimum of 2 years progressive experience in a traditional security, military, or police role.
