Job description

Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an Entry-Level Electrical Engineer to join our Electrical Engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer looking to gain hands-on experience in electrical design, controls, and industrial manufacturing. In this role, you will assist with the design and development of electrical systems for industrial equipment, create electrical drawings and documentation, support troubleshooting efforts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions for our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Create and revise electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel bills of materials (BOMs), parts lists, and associated electrical documentation.
  • Support the design of 3-phase, single-phase, and low-voltage control systems.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, Service, and Procurement teams.
  • Assist with power calculations, component selection, and electrical system design.
  • Participate in design reviews and drawing checks to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Support troubleshooting and resolution of electrical and controls-related issues.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and engineering projects.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, or similar CAD software.
  • Basic understanding of electrical circuits, ladder diagrams, motors, starters, and industrial control systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Internship, co-op, or project experience in electrical design, controls, automation, or manufacturing is a plus.
  • Exposure to PLCs, NEC standards, or industrial equipment is preferred.

Pay and Benefits
