Summary
 
Provide technical systems assistance for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of production equipment, including electrical, electronic, robotics, pneumatic, and hydraulic control systems.
 
The role includes:
  • Troubleshooting and resolving complex equipment issues.
  • Developing and implementing maintenance procedures for safe and efficient plant operations.
  • Analyzing data to enhance maintenance plans.
  • Training and supporting the maintenance and production workforce.
Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and improve mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
  • Maintain and improve mechanical components such as gearboxes, pumps, valves, pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, and HVAC systems.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain PLC devices, network systems, and drive controls.
  • Set up and operate shop equipment and use precision measuring tools.
  • Maintain web handling systems (adjustments, tramming, steering, and tension control).
  • Perform millwright tasks,  lifting, rigging, hoisting, leveling, and tramming.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems, motors, fuses, switches, photo eyes, etc.
  • Perform basic welding, fabrication, and preventive/predictive/emergency maintenance.
  • Set up and update preventive maintenance (PM) programs.
  • Maintain records and documentation accurately.
  • Assist in training employees and participate in engineering projects.
  • Adhere to OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Handle hazardous waste and assist in equipment start-up as needed.
Work Environment
  • Combination of office and plant environment.
  • Exposure to flammable and hazardous materials.
  • Work involves physical activity, walking, bending, crawling, standing, climbing heights, and using fall protection.
  • May require lifting up to 55 lbs unassisted and 70 lbs with assistance.
  • Mechanical lifting tools used for weights above 85 lbs.
Required Skills
  • A two-year technical degree or certificate in maintenance.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience
  • Strong understanding of:, PLC programming and drive control, Mechanical systems (hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, lubrication), Electrical systems and HMI operation and Computer and network fundamentals.
  • Automation experience is important for this role on the production floor in the MFG space.
  • Electro pneumatic systems
  • Mechatronics experience – mechanical/electrical/computer (automation – PLC logic)
  • Ability to read, understand, and update electrical prints.
  • Competence in predictive and preventive maintenance techniques.
  • Self-starter, able to work independently.
  • Good documentation and communication skills.
  • Reliable, dependable, and capable of following detailed instructions.
  • Must pass NOCTI Exam, clients Vision screening, and required clients test battery.
  • PIV certification.
  • Willingness to work overtime.
