Job description

GENERAL JOB INFORMATION

Job Title: Dispatcher (TEMPORARY)

Department: Logistics

Immediate Supervisor: Warehouse Supervisor

Classification: Non-Exempt

NATURE OF THE POSITION

Perform merchandise handling, organizing, and dispatching activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance with established procedures, and high internal and external customer service standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Receive and read invoices from the Telemarketing and Customer Service department.
  2. Locate the merchandise requested in shipments, apply labels, and confirm shipments in the ERP system.
  3. Move materials from one location to another.
  4. Sort and arrange merchandise on shelves, compartments, and racks according to the pre-established order or sequence.
  5. Dispatch merchandise by expiration date, ensuring that items received first in the warehouse are dispatched first, following the FIFO ("first in, first out") method.
  6. Pack merchandise for customers when they pick up orders.
  7. Operate the forklift and/or hand truck in full and consistent compliance with applicable safety measures.
  8. Conduct physical inventory counts at the requested frequency and using the established method.
  9. Keep the assigned area clean, tidy, and organized.
  10. Wear a hard hat, safety shoes, and reflective harness at all times while on the warehouse premises.
  11. Actively contribute to the maintenance of the company's mission and the achievement of its vision; exemplify through performance and conduct the efficiency culture philosophy, Bionuclear's values, and the principles of the highest quality internal and external customer service.
  12. Fully and consistently comply with department and company policies and procedures as currently published or promulgated in the future, including but not limited to the Employee Handbook.

INCIDENTAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Follow manufacturer guidelines regarding temperature and material handling.
  2. Notify the Logistics Coordinator or designated personnel of discrepancies between the pick list contents and available merchandise.
  3. Ensure that no employee, customer, or visitor accesses the warehouse without the appropriate hard hat or safety equipment.
  4. Identify, label, and/or tag merchandise as required.
  5. Support Receiving and/or Cart Runner functions as required.
  6. Other tasks as necessary.

ACADEMIC PREPARATION

High school senior year (12th grade).

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

No prior experience required.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Valid Class 3 driver's license and good driving record.

NATURALEZA DEL PUESTO

Realizar actividades de manejo, acomodo y despacho de mercancía garantizando exactitud, cumplimiento con los procedimientos establecidos y altos estándares de servicio al cliente interno y externo.

DEBERES Y RESPONSABILIDADES ESENCIALES DEL PUESTO

  1. Recibir y leer facturas del departamento de Telemercadeo y Servicio al Cliente.
  2. Buscar la mercancía que se solicita en los shipments, pegar labels y confirmar shipment en sistema ERP.
  3. Mover materiales de un lugar a otro.
  4. Ordenar y acomodar mercancía en los estantes, compartimientos y tablillas según el orden o secuencia preestablecido.
  5. Despachar mercancía por fecha de expiración, asegurando que se despachen primero los artículos que se recibieron primero en el almacén, siguiendo el método FIFO ("first in, first out").
  6. Empacar mercancía a los clientes cuando recogen.
  7. Manejar el montacargas y/o el hand truck en cumplimiento cabal y consistente de las medidas de seguridad aplicables.
  8. Tomar inventario físico con la frecuencia solicitada y el método establecido.
  9. Mantener el área asignada limpia, recogida y organizada.
  10. Llevar puestos el capacete, los zapatos de seguridad y el arnés reflectivo en todo momento mientras se encuentre en las instalaciones físicas del Almacén.
  11. Aportar activamente al mantenimiento de la misión y al logro de la visión de la compañía; y ejemplificar con su desempeño y conducta la filosofía de la cultura de eficiencia, los valores de Bionuclear y los principios de un servicio al cliente interno y externo de la más alta calidad.
  12. Cumplir de manera cabal y consistente las políticas y procedimientos del departamento y de la empresa según publicados en el presente o sean promulgados en el futuro, incluyendo, pero sin limitarse al Manual del empleado.

DEBERES Y RESPONSABILIDADES INCIDENTALES DEL PUESTO

  1. Seguir las guías del manufacturero en cuanto a temperatura y manejo de materiales.
  2. Notificar al Coordinador de Logística o personal designado sobre diferencias entre el contenido del pick list y la mercancía disponible.
  3. Asegurar que ningún empleado, cliente o visitante acceda el almacén sin el capacete o equipo de seguridad correspondiente.
  4. Identificar, rotular y/o etiquetar la mercancía según sea requerido.
  5. Apoyar las funciones de Recibo y/o de Carrero según le sea requerido.
  6. Otras tareas, según sean necesarias.

PREPARACIÓN ACADÉMICA

Cuarto año de escuela superior.

EXPERIENCIA PROFESIONAL

No requiere de experiencia previa.

OTROS REQUISITOS

Licencia de conducir número 3 vigente y buen expediente de conductor.
