Sub Leader
DMMI Production Control / Warehouse - Outbound Logistics (Shipping), Dept. 218
Core Hours: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Complete Sub Leader Selection Process pre-qualification requirements (ALL 3 REQUIRED PRIOR TO POSTING)
  • Must be an Associate III or above
  • Submit two (2) recommendation forms from Team Leader and above (See HRBP/Recruiting for form)
  • Complete Sub Leader Learning Path Training in Oracle

  • High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Must be able to successfully complete fork lift / PIV pre-assessment prior to applying to the position.
  • Must be able to obtain a fork lift / PIV license upon acceptance of position.
  • Must have previous warehouse experience as well as strong verbal and written communication skills, strong math skills, must be dependable, and have outstanding attendance.
  • Must have some inventory skill, the ability to train others and be able to work overtime on short notice.
  • Must have at least 2 years of warehouse experience and is knowledgeable in Microsoft Office, IBM Notes, and has the ability to enter multiple screens in CIGMA.
  • Multi-tasking ability preferred, along with strong leadership skills, BEAM program participation, and trustworthiness.
  • Able to read and interpret technical manuals. Uses computer for data entry and spreadsheet manipulation.
  • Ability to operate a battery hoist, baler, and dock lever.

Bi-lingual competency highly preferred in languages that reflect the Battle Creek community.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILIES
Lead 2nd shift Shipping team members in Team Leader's absence. Perform associate and temporary daily audits, facilitate daily start up meetings, and fill in for associates that are absent. Responsible to communicate information to all levels and departments as well as work on Team Leader book, charts and graphs. Train and help develop associates and Temporaries. Responsible for enforcement of Denso policies and procedures. Serves as associates' first contact for help. Must be able to work overtime as necessary.
MINIMUM POSTING ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
  • More than 2 years in current position unless promotable
  • Last Performance Appraisal Meets or Better
  • No Active Written Discipline
  • Must be able to obtain a fork lift / PIV license upon acceptance of position (if needed)
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position
