Job description
POSITION: Skilled Trades Maintenance Tech – 2nd Shift
JOB SUMMARY: To provide machine maintenance.
SCOPE/DIMENSIONS: Supervisory Responsibility: No
Purchasing Authority: No
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair machine malfunctions.
· Make plumbing and electrical changes as needed.
· Move machinery to accommodate new plant layouts.
· Perform preventive maintenance for equipment and facilities.
· Modify machinery, guarding and other equipment in response to production needs.
· Work effectively with team members.
· Complete required training programs.
· Complete paperwork such as Preventive Maintenance, repair documentation, and part requests.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
· Perform other duties as needed or assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· 18 years of age or older.
· High school diploma or GED equivalent.
· Possession of a journey level certificate OR 8+ years within related field.
· Good mechanical aptitude.
· Ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic blueprints.
· Knowledge of electrical wiring, troubleshooting, and theory.
· CNC and PLC experience.
· Welding experience preferred.
· Ability to obtain forklift license.
· Must possess a positive attitude and excellent work ethic.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
· Factory environment with exposure to moderate levels of noise, grease and oils, and moving machinery
· Occasional lifting, carrying, or moving objects up to 35 lbs.
· Occasional work at heights up to 30 feet and in confined spaces.
· Overnight business travel required based on company needs.
