Senior IT Systems Lead (Temp-to-Hire)

Location:

Springfield, MA (Onsite 5 days/week with occasional regional travel)

Compensation:

$31/hour Contract-to-Hire

Overview:

We are working with a respected, mission-focused organization supporting veterans to identify a Senior IT Systems Lead who will play a pivotal role in maintaining and improving the organization's technology environment.

This position is ideal for a hands-on IT professional looking to grow their leadership responsibilities. The role combines technical support, infrastructure oversight, project coordination, and vendor management while serving as a key resource for day-to-day IT operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a lead technical resource for internal IT operations and end-user support
  • Support and maintain Microsoft technologies including Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory, and related systems
  • Assist with infrastructure management, system upgrades, and technology improvement initiatives
  • Help drive cybersecurity best practices, system reliability, and operational efficiency
  • Provide guidance and support to junior IT staff and end users
  • Participate in IT planning, prioritization, and project execution
  • Support multiple locations and travel occasionally to regional sites as needed
  • Document processes, procedures, and technical environments
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of IT experience with demonstrated leadership, project ownership, or team lead responsibilities
  • Experience supporting Microsoft technologies including Microsoft 365, Azure, and Active Directory
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to balance hands-on technical work with leadership and coordination responsibilities
  • Experience working in a multi-site or distributed environment
