Overview
As an Associate Creative Director-Copy you are responsible for leading concept development and the translation and extension of concepts into effective copy for interactive marketing, online campaigns, web and motion-based projects. Under the direction of a Creative Lead, you will work hands-on on several projects at a time and will be involved in all phases of creative development. Someone with strong conceptual and hands on writing skills, with a broad knowledge of 360 campaign work with interactive/digital experiences including social, web and mobile. You will be responsible for planning and executing portions of projects independently or in conjunction with junior creative staff or freelancers. You will blend visionary creative leadership with an understanding of the beauty/personal care industry and mass media advertising.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include creating and communicating concepts, implementing marketing strategies and developing creative solutions. Your role is crucial in understanding strategic business goals, while having a strong eye for craft. As a creative leader, you inspire and empower teams to do their best work. You create visually compelling work, grounded in strategy, and focused on the long-term goal.
  • Responsible for leading Creative teams in the successful creation and production of copy solutions for assigned accounts
  • Follows creative direction of senior Creative staff and Account staff
  • Plans and directs many aspects of assigned projects, and serves as an integral member of the Creative team
  • Stay ahead of beauty, fashion, and cultural trends, translating these insights into fresh and relevant creative concepts that resonate with a wide audience
  • Collaborating with account and strategy teams to align creative work with client objectives
  • Pitching and presenting concepts to clients with clarity and confidence
  • Reviewing and approving all creative deliverables before they go to clients
  • Managing timelines, and resources for creative projects
  • Accountable for managing a team of Creative talent, and leading them in the development of creative work that is consistently sound, of excellent caliber, and acceptable to the client
  • Leads the effort to translate established creative direction into conceptual ideas
  • Conceptual copywriting for integrated campaigns, digital media, email, web, banners, digital content

Qualifications
  • A four-year degree (preferably in English, journalism or a related field)
  • 7 + years of experience in copywriting
  • Work experience in an advertising or interactive agency a plus
  • Must be conceptual/an idea person as well as a hands-on writer
  • Experience in the beauty, personal care, fashion and/or lifestyle industries
  • Strong portfolio showcasing successful 360 campaign work along with creative leadership
  • Staying current with industry trends and inspiring innovation within the team
  • Solid knowledge of steps required in creative development process provides guidance to achieve creative direction; gives timely and helpful coaching; and produces all work in a timely, cost-effective manner
  • Good presentation skills
  • Good people-management and coaching skills
  • Ability to solve problems using keen instincts and organizational experience
  • Proven mentoring, supervisory, and team-building skills

Compensation Range: $90.68 - $106.59/hr. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met.
