Job description

The regular hours of the role are 7:00pm – 7:00am

General Function:

The Security Guard will ensure the safety and security of the property and employees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

•Ensure that only authorized individuals and vehicles enter the facility.

•Log information as required for facility entry and deliveries.

•Communicate company guidelines to contractors and document agreement to comply.

•Remain alert and focused at all times while on post.

•Diligently monitor surroundings for abnormal situations and take action, as needed.

•Enforce procedures to prevent theft of company and/or personal property.

•Enforce parking lot safety rules.

•Respond calmly, promptly, and effectively to plant emergencies.

•Follow company security guidelines.

•Manage phone systems.

•Maintain housekeeping and 6S standards.

•Identify quality issues and attain established productivity standards.

•Understand and adhere to safety policies and procedures.

•Perform related responsibilities as required or directed.

•There is mandatory overtime associated with the role depending upon the needs of the business because, with team-based manufacturing, production areas must be manned for worker safety and may continue beyond the end of a scheduled shift or may require additional overtime hours outside of normal shift schedule.

• This role is a temporary position (4-6 months) within our site where we have a team approach to manufacturing. Timely and Regular attendance is crucial to your success and the safety of the team.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

•High school diploma or GED.

•Currently licensed as an Unarmed Security Guard in good standing by the state of Tennessee

•Ability to successfully complete TN Unarmed Security training annually.

•Must successfully complete TBI/Criminal Background Check, pre-employment physical exam, and drug screen.

•Previous experience in site security

•Ability to use Microsoft Office.

Physical Requirements:

•Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

•Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards

•Must be able to stand for long periods of time, squat, bend, twist and turn as needed to perform the job.

•Must be able to climb ladders and stairs multiple times throughout the shift.

•Must be able to communicate effectively both written and verbally.

•Must be able to wear required safety equipment.
