Job description

A Civil Litigation Public Entity Defense Firm seeking attorneys to join our growing practice. We are looking for an associate with enough experience to work independently on aggressively litigated cases with potential high exposure, and one associate willing to focus on legal research and motion practice. Experience with handling employment litigation would be highly valued. Candidates must have excellent work ethic, high-level legal research and writing skills, and be positive and productive.

Responsibilities

We are now looking for highly qualified associates with 10+ years of experience in civil litigation defense.

For the first opening (Civil Litigation Associate):

  • Full file handling experience is required

  • Trial experience is strongly preferred

  • Experience in management-side employment litigation and public entity defense is highly valued

  • This is primarily an in-person role, though hybrid arrangements may be considered

  • Attorneys with 10-30 years of experience for this position

  • Case management from inception through resolution

  • Preparation of motions, oppositions, replies, and other court pleadings

  • Analysis of legal issues, exposures, and defenses

  • Prepare/respond to written discovery

  • Assessment of damages claims

  • Work collaboratively with attorneys of all experience levels

  • Provide leadership and direction to less experienced attorneys
