Responsibilities
  • Measure, cut, and shape lumber, wood, and other building materials accurately
  • Attach building materials using screws, nuts, bolts, and air-powered tools
  • Erect temporary structures (scaffolds, hoists) as needed
  • Repair or reinforce existing framework structures
  • Analyze blueprints and drawings to determine framework dimensions
  • Identify and address potential structural issues in plans and materials
  • Examine materials for defects
  • Maintain clean, organized job sites by clearing debris and waste
  • Construct wooden concrete forms for concrete structures
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations
  • Physical strength and stamina
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Proficient in safe use of hand and power tools
