About the Job

Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a Construction company located in Olympia, WA, to fill a Construction Laborer role. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to join a growing team in a hands on team building environment.

This position is Evaluation-to-Hire, with a consistent schedule of Monday-Friday, from 6:00am-2:30PM. Compensation starts at $25.00/hr, with a full benefits package upon hire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and assemble wood framing for residential and commercial construction projects using blueprints and measurements.
  • Perform interior and exterior painting, including surface preparation, priming, masking, and finish coats.
  • Install and remove temporary construction fencing to secure job sites and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Operate pressure washers to clean buildings, equipment, and construction areas before and after project completion.
  • Assist with general construction tasks, including measuring, cutting materials, loading and unloading supplies, site cleanup, and supporting other team members to ensure projects are completed safely and on schedule.

What You Bring:

  • Team-oriented with the ability to work well alongside others in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Proficient with power saws, including skill saws (circular saws), chop saws, and other carpentry equipment.
  • Basic carpentry skills, including measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing building materials.
  • Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds repeatedly throughout the workday.
  • Strong work ethic, dependable attendance, and a commitment to workplace safety.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
