Job description

cBEYONData + SMX is seeking Network Engineers to support federal customers with network modernization, infrastructure operations, and mission-focused technology initiatives.

Ideal candidates will have experience supporting enterprise network environments, including LAN, WLAN, WAN, routing, switching, network monitoring, troubleshooting, and secure network operations. Candidates should be comfortable working with technical teams, customer stakeholders, and cross-functional partners to help deliver reliable, secure, and scalable network solutions.

 Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Support the design, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of enterprise network environments
  • Assist with LAN, WLAN, WAN, routing, switching, and network connectivity issues
  • Monitor network performance, identify problems, and support timely resolution
  • Configure and support network equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure
  • Use network monitoring and diagnostic tools to support operations and troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with technical teams, government customers, and contractor partners
  • Support documentation, reporting, and compliance activities
  • Help maintain secure, reliable, and high-performing network infrastructure
  • Assist with network modernization and infrastructure improvement efforts
  • Support secure network operations in alignment with applicable customer, federal, or DoD requirements
Required Skills/Experience
  • Experience supporting enterprise, federal, or DoD network environments
  • Knowledge of networking protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, SNMP, VPNs, and related tools
  • Experience with routing, switching, wireless networks, and WAN connectivity
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, ARMIS, Ansible, or similar platforms
  • Experience with Cisco networking technologies or similar enterprise network systems
  • Understanding of cybersecurity concepts, firewalls, access control, and Zero Trust concepts
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues across complex network environments
  • Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
  • Relevant certifications such as Security+, CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, or similar are a plus
  • Experience with federal, DoD, healthcare, or mission-critical environments is a plus
 Desired Skills/Experience
  • Active or current DoD security clearance
  • Experience supporting government or mission-critical infrastructure
  • Familiarity with ERPs such as SAP
