Is Cisco CCNA still worth IT?

The Cisco CCNA routing and switching certification remains valuable in the IT industry, as it demonstrates foundational networking skills and knowledge of Cisco devices. It can enhance job prospects for roles such as network technician or administrator and serves as a stepping stone to more advanced certifications like CCNP or CCIE.

Is CCNA changing in 2026?

The CCNA Routing and Switching certification is periodically updated by Cisco to reflect evolving networking technologies. As of now, there are no announced changes scheduled specifically for 2026, but candidates should stay informed through Cisco's official channels for any future updates that may impact the certification requirements for network professionals.
