Job Title

Finance Intern

Job Purpose: To gain real world experience and exposure to the private accounting sector by supporting many different departments, helping them carry out their business transactions and projects.

Responsibilities:

Will focus on assignments within business unit finance support various teams by:

  • Assisting with financial reporting and analysis
  • Collaborate on budgeting and forecasting
  • Cost analysis
  • Audit and compliance support

Required Qualifications:

  • Must graduate in August 2027, December 2027, or May 2028 and major in Accounting and/or Finance with a 3.0 cumulative GPA and a major GPA of 3.3 preferred
  • Possess strong analytical and communication skills
  • Applicants must not now, or at any time in the future, require employer sponsorship for a work visa
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer
  • This position will require access to and/or the utilization of a personal motor vehicle to get to and from the workplace.

Duration

Our summer internship program runs 10-12 weeks and starts in late May and ends in early August.

Co-ops may be available depending on our business needs. The co-op program duration is typically 6-8 months and can run from early January through early August OR late May through early December.

Hours

This is a temporary, full-time, hourly position. Interns can expect to work approximately 40 hours per week and may be eligible for overtime based on business needs. 

Location(s) 

  • This is an on-site position based out of our corporate headquarters in Austin, MN.
  • Hormel Foods does not currently offer remote internship opportunities.

  • Competitive hourly pay of $24.50  paid on a weekly basis
