Job description

Pay: $60.10/hour
Benefits:
  • Accrued Paid Sick Leave
  • 6 Major Holidays after 90 days of employment

Company/Position Overview: Our client, a real estate investment company that invests in logistics facilities, is seeking a long-term temporary Business Process Analyst. This role will perform hands-on data analysis to identify inconsistencies, investigate the root causes of data issues, and drive corrective actions through resolution. The analyst will partner with business and technical teams to translate findings into practical recommendations, clarify requirements, and keep data-related initiatives and projects moving forward. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working directly with complex datasets. This person must be a proactive self-starter who can operate independently, take ownership of ambiguous problems, and engage the appropriate stakeholders when needed. Success in this role requires the ability to move beyond identifying issues by recommending solutions, supporting implementation, and monitoring outcomes to ensure improvements are sustainable.
The Business Analyst will exhibit strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills and must be confident in their ability to interact with stakeholders (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient, with a high level of professionalism. The Business Analyst will be expected to apply common sense and execute tasks with minimal direction.
This position is hybrid, 1 day in-office on Tuesdays in Downtown Denver, CO. Applicants must live in the Greater Denver Metro area. Equipment will be supplied by the client (laptop).
Schedule:
  • Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM MST with the flexibility to support meetings with other time requirements**
  • Tuesday required in-office day
  • Start: ASAP
  • Assignment Length: 6 months with the possibility of an extension
Job Duties:
  • Analyze operational data to identify performance gaps, data-quality issues, process breakdowns, and root causes.
  • Translate findings into specific, practical recommendations with clear owners, priorities, and timelines.
  • Work directly with local teams to investigate issues, validate facts, and implement corrective actions.
  • Personally resolve operational and system issues when appropriate—not simply identify or escalate them.
  • Tag, document, track, and report issues through resolution, ensuring accountability and visibility.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data and update source systems to maintain reliable reporting.
  • Monitor corrective actions to confirm they are implemented and producing the intended results.
  • Develop sustainable controls, procedures, and reporting mechanisms that prevent recurring problems.
  • Balance process improvement with hands-on execution in daily operations.
  • Escalate material risks and unresolved issues with evidence, business impact, and recommended next steps.
  • Elicit process requirements from heterogeneous stakeholders in dispersed markets.
  • Liaise with various business groups to facilitate the implementation of new or improved business processes.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the business’ needs to drive innovation, efficiency, and value to the organization.
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize requirements, evaluate solutions, identify potential risks, define proposed solutions, and propose interim workarounds.
  • Provide an initial assessment of a situation and research best practices, trends, and historical data, policies and procedures, methods, and practices.
  • Analyze and document current-state versus future-state business processes.
  • Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives for improving processes.
  • Work independently with minimal direction, with equal ability to work collaboratively with the team.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience.
  • 5 plus years of business analyst experience.
  • Some project management skills; Drive project execution by tracking, organizing, and communicating on tasking, schedule, and stakeholder needs.
  • Practical knowledge in the use of data for reports, spreadsheets, graphs, and flowcharts.
  • Ability to apply statistical and other research methods.
  • Ability to understand the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Able to exercise independent judgment and take action on it.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
  • Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Instinct to ask relevant probing questions that get to the “why” behind business requests.
  • Acts as main point of contact within project team.
  • Coordinate, supervise, and drive every facet of the assigned projects.
  • Drives all aspects of project setup, including stakeholder analysis, schedule baselining, budget estimation, resource requirements, project kickoff, & review cycle.
